With this increase in software, the role of testing becomes more vital in the process of developing high quality software. Under the direction of our Manager Software Testing we define test strategies, create test architecture and implement test automation. We currently have several open positions at clients in semiconductors, automotive and biotechnology. The challenge
As a Software Test Engineer at High Tech Source you work at the core of product and application development projects and play a crucial role in the business of our clients. By working in agile, international, multidisciplinary teams, you will develop both your technical knowledge and soft skills. As active part of the scrum team you take the lead in integrating testing in the software development process and provide continuous feedback on ongoing development work.
Your activities will mainly focus on the design of possible test strategies and execution of (automated) tests on unit, system and integration level. A good overview of possible software design methodologies, operating systems and programming languages and the ability to motivate this to others is crucial.
Your main tasks and responsibilities are:
· Creating and executing test?cases (both manual and automated)
· Review requirements, acceptance criterias, test specification
· Participate in risk assessment activities
· Create or collaborate in test plan creation
· Responsible for the execution of?testing and product quality
· Defect root cause analysis
· Initiate and support product quality improvements.
Your profile
· Bachelor or Master’s degree in (Technical) Computer Science or comparable.
· Approximately 3-5 years’ experience in software testing in an industrial or technical environment, working with C/C++, C#, Java and/or Python. Embedded programming experience is preferred
· You have ISTQB/T-Map or this level based on experience
· Preferably you have experience with BDD / Gherkin
· Excellent communication skills with fluency in English.
· Have an innovative mindset and strong analytical skills.
· You are a self-starter, solution driven with a hands-on approach to your work and you get results.
· Are also a team player with the ability to work independently when required and in cross functional international teams.
