Transmission electronic microscopes are the most sophisticated laboratory instruments that are used today. Software applications are essential into exploiting all the potential of these microscopes, pushing the limits of current physical technologies. These applications are used by scientists and engineers in life science, material sciences and semiconductor industry, indirectly affecting our life in many aspects. By contributing into these applications, you might help developing better vaccines, new lighter and stronger materials, or more efficient semiconductors. Examples are automated tomography, single particle acquisition, and semiconductors automated metrology/measurements at nanometer scale.

Your mission

Within the Eindhoven office, they have a challenging position for a talented Software Test Engineer in the Digital TEM Software Group. You will be part of a team which is responsible for the development of the Velox application, which hides the typical TEM complexity by focusing on ease-of use and automation of customer experiments via workflow based user interface for S/TEM imaging and energy dispersive XRay analysis applications.

As a?Software Test?Engineer you participate to requirements review, impact and risk analysis and contribute to acceptance criteria definition of user stories in the team's backlog. You write test cases and provide continuous feedback on ongoing development work.

Your assignment will include the following activities:

• Be an active part of the scrum team, guide and support the team members on all quality aspects to successfully achieve the team goals;
• Review requirements, acceptance criterias, test specification;
• Create and execute test?cases (both manual and automated);
• Participate in risk assessment activities;
• Create or collaborate in test plan creation;
• Responsible for the execution of?testing and product quality;
• Defect root cause analysis;
• Initiate and support product quality improvements.

Preferred Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position enjoys working in a multi-disciplinary technical environment to solve complex technical problems within multi-cultural team. The successful candidate will possess the following combination of education and experience:

• BSc or MSc degree in Computer Science, Informatics, or related technical software discipline;
• Minimum 4?years of experience in quality and test of technical software for high-tech equipment;
• ISTQB Foundation Level Certification (important)
• Experience with test automation(Python/Squish)
• ISTQB Test Analyst/ISTQB Technical Test Analyst certification is “nice-to-have”
